We had a major birthday bash for my Mom, aunt and niece yesterday. All of my siblings + spouses (minus John, we missed him!) were there. 17 in all. Thank you Buca di Peppo...great food, no dishes!
We made our way back to The (other) Kennedy Compound for dessert and presents. I had a ton of fun making Butter Pecan Cupcakes, sugar cookies and caramel thumbprints. My sister brought a cranberry orange cake and I served leftover pumpkin cheesecake. Though everyone was stuffed from turkey day and the pasta, the desserts were a big hit!
I love using my antique linens and cake plates. I also think I am in love with making cupcakes...they are so showy!
