Home Again Home Again

Being out of town has really inspired me to enjoy spending time in the kitchen.  Today alone I marinated a brisket, made an amazing vanilla cobbler and my first artisan boule!

I read and then re-read and the re-re-read the directions.
It was almost too easy...

I tried the dutch oven cooking method.
More experiments to come.

It could have used a bit more baking time.
Lesson learned.

"It's fine by me," said K...after I explained all the things that might have gone wrong!
But actually it *was* delicious.

We had salad tonight (with the homemade bread) so that we could have this for dessert.  It also was pretty simple.  And delicious.
I loved the way it looked unbaked.

We had scoops of this with a little vanilla ice cream
K said, "That's a keeper."
Tomorrow I am going to channel my inner Wakako and have a little of the cobbler for breakfast with my coffee and a yogurt and berry parfait.  Can't wait.
