Snow! and new boots

So it seems wherever I go I bring freaky weather. When I was in North Carolina they had the first rain they had had in 3 months! In Seattle, a freak early snow and rain storm. Today almost the entire city of Milwaukee was shut down!

Luckily my flight got in ok. And other than the dude at the rental car hassling me to upgrade to an all-wheel drive (for a pretty penny!) and buy their insurance, I got to the museum fine. I kept telling the guy "I'm from MI, I'm used to this." But he insisted it was different! Ha.

The bummerest part of the day is the hotel...it's totally gross. Even though I thought I would stay here because of the amenities, I am checking out tomorrow AM and into a real hotel downtown.

Boots... gonna need them. What were the chances that I would pass a DSW on my way to the dive hotel? Yup. In-deed good luck. Good thing I had the convo w/ K before I left about how I probably wouldn't need any...justifies my shopping. Tee hee.

If you click on the bottom picture you can see how much SNOW has collected on the ducks backs. Think that was cold? Also, check out how BIG the snowflakes were. Biggest I think I've ever seen, and I've lived in MI all my life!
