Remember your 18th Birthday?

I don't. I really don't have a clue as to where I was, who I was with or if there was any celebration (I assume there was). It seems 18 is a big deal...according to my daughter she's excited because she can now: buy lottery tickets, vote, buy cigarettes (she does not smoke) and get into strip clubs. Importance to her is not necessarily in the order I've listed.

Anyway, we tried to make it special. We had friends and family over last night for a nice dinner. We ate, had dinner, dessert, she got a few presents and I was passed out in bed (exhausted) before 9pm.

MENU: Southwest rubbed chicken breast with poblano pumpkin seed pesto - yukon gold chili and sweet corn hash - spinach salad with pear, grape and pistachio - roasted asparagus - rolls - cheesecake

I made a typical new york cheesecake (which was a little underdone, but everyone liked) and Lynn made a mocha cheesecake that was to die for! I had a small piece for breakfast this morning. :-)

Tonight we will probably go out to eat and give her her gift. It's a surprise. I'm pretty sure she will flip though. Stay tuned.
